Emerald House is a one person bakehouse run by Pastry Chef Noah Meek. Every cake, pastry, and sweet treat is handcrafted to order. From the first whisk to the final flourish, Noah blends technical mastery with creativity and a love for bold baking challenges. Whether you are celebrating a milestone or simply craving something sweet, each bake is made with care, intention, and a little butter magic.
OUR FOUNDER
NOAH MEEK
Having grown up in Amarillo, Texas, Chef Noah Meek discovered his passion for baking at a young age. Watching his grandmothers share their beautiful homemade creations with family and friends, left a lasting impression and shaped his love for the craft. He later studied Pastry Arts at the Auguste Escoffer School of Culinary Arts, where he fell deeply in love with the artistry and precision of fine pastry.
Chef Noah has worked in some of the most demanding kitchens in Texas, from serving waffles in Austin to producing hundreds of intricate desserts for Lubbock's Rave On and The Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts and Sciences.
Emerald House began in Chef Noah's home kitchen, driven by a vision to bring refined and heartfelt pastries to the community. Today, Emerald House proudly operates out of High Point Village, a nonprofit that empowers adults with intellectual disabilities. This partnership continues to inspire and ground the bakery's mission.
Alongside leading Emerald House, Chef Noah serves on the planning committee for Lubbock Habitat for Humanity's annual gala, contributing his creativity and community spirit to help build homes and hope for local families.

Favorite hobbies outside of baking/work?
Getting to spend time with my lover, Stuart. As well as loving on my four dogs, Storm, Bruce, Frazer, and Eugene. I have also been really into Mahjong lately, let me know if you want to play a round!
HOW IT ALL STARTED
Emerald House began as a dream in a home kitchen and grew into a full fledged bakehouse one whisk, one challenge, and one happy customer at a time. Noah began baking at age five and his love for the craft has only grown. After professional training at Escoffier and years in top Texas kitchens, he now pours that expertise into every order. From decadent chocolate cakes to delicate pastries, each bake is made with purpose and pride.
